Peer Review Process

COSMOS: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan, Ekonomi dan Teknologi following a double-blind peer review policy. This paper is sent to multiple reviewers (experts in their respective fields) to review the paper according to journal guidelines and features of quality research papers. For papers requiring changes, the same reviewers will be used to ensure that the quality of the revised paper is acceptable.

All research articles published in COSMOS: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan, Ekonomi dan Teknologi undergo full peer review, with the main characteristics listed below:

  1. All research articles are reviewed by a qualified expert.

  2. All publication decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief of the journal based on the reviews provided.

  3. Members of the Editorial Board provide general advice and guidance to the Editor-in-Chief and assist in decision-making regarding specific submissions.

  4. The Managing Editor and Editorial Assistants provide administrative support that allows the journal to maintain the integrity of the peer review process while providing rapid turnover and maximum efficiency for authors, reviewers, and editors.

  5. The journal also benefits from the manuscript referral process from high-quality peer reviews conducted by established journals.

Peer review of referred papers:

COSMOS: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan, Ekonomi dan Teknologi will promptly decide whether to accept, reject, or request revisions to referred papers based on reviews and editorial insights from supporting journals. Additionally, the Editor may have the option to seek additional reviews if necessary. Authors will be notified when the Editor decides further review is needed.

Peer review of novel submissions:

Articles submitted directly to COSMOS: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan, Ekonomi dan Teknologi will be fully reviewed by at least two qualified experts in the field chosen by the Editor-in-Chief. The Editor-in-Chief or designated members of the Editorial Board will then decide whether to accept, reject, or request revisions based on the reviews and comments received.

The Editor will determine whether each submission reports well-conducted research with conclusions supported by the data presented in the paper. Priority assessment will not be a factor in decision-making, but all papers must make a significant or novel contribution to the literature."
