The Influence of the Reciprocal Teaching Learning Model on the Mathematical Creative Thinking Ability of Seventh-Grade Junior High School Students

This study aimed to determine the influence of the Reciprocal Teaching learning model on the mathematical creative thinking ability of seventh-grade junior high school students. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with a Randomized Control Group Only Design. The study population comprised all seventh-grade students at SMPN 20 Jakarta, with a sample of 56 students consisting of 28 students in the experimental group (Reciprocal Teaching model) and 28 students in the control group (conventional model). The research instrument was an essay test on mathematical creative thinking ability regarding the topic of triangles, consisting of 8 questions. The data were analyzed using a t-test with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results showed that the average creative thinking ability of the experimental group (78.464) was higher than that of the control group (73.428). The hypothesis test yielded tcalculated = 2.072 > ttable = 2.007, leading to the rejection of H0 and the acceptance of H1. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence of the Reciprocal Teaching learning model on students' mathematical creative thinking ability.References
